What I've been up to...

I've accomplished a lot since February when I last posted consistently.  I successfully painted my nails without getting any on my skin and even found a Vera Wang purse at a thrift store for $13 (I couldn't pass it up even though I was completely broke)!

I love being back ;)

Sick.

I'm sorry for not posting recently, but the plague is going around campus.  All of my photographers (aka my friends) have come down with what can most easily be described as bird flu.  The crow infestation is apparently having a severe effect on the health of the students.  I inevitably will probably end up catching whatever they have.  In the mean time, I will be quarantining myself from all activity with said diseased individuals.  This results in me taking a short break from posting until all good health has been restored.  I can assure you though that I am still getting dressed in the morning and I still am upholding my standards of looking good every single day.

So today is not a fashion post because life is not all about fashion (even though fashion is really great),  This post is about the wonders of friendship.  Despite all the cheesiness in the last sentence, friends are very important in my life.  They are there for you no matter what.  Through the good and the bad.  They want the best for you even when you can't imagine what that best is. 

These girls in my life mean a lot to me and I can't imagine what college would be like without them.  I just want to thank them for helping me and understanding me (especially for not looking at me weird when I told them I wanted to start a fashion blog).  So, I want to say a big "Thank you" to some of the most amazing girls I have ever met.

On another note... today is BID DAY!!!  fingers crossed for ADPi ;)

First Post

Hi! This is what appears to be my first post out of many.  I'm very excited about starting this blog for many reasons, some of which I'll list:

1) I love fashion (the most important in my mind).  Ever since I was young I have been a picky dresser.  My mom started it really, so blame her.  She always dressed me up in what was basically infant Prada of the '90s, and had matching bows to boot.  As I grew older, I started to develop my own style.  It started off slowly with a few pieces at a time that were only worn in my room in front of the mirror, and then it grew to have a whole closetful of clothes that gets me wired like a hot cup of coffee.  Some get off on '57 Chevys and screaming guitars, I get off on a pair of Louboutin heels.

2) I love sales, deal, finds, etc.  Despite the fact that I'm in college and am thusly living on a college budget, I still want to look fabulous.  I wanted to create this blog to fill the niche for girls and students like me.  I have a knack for scoping out sales the way a pig scopes out truffles.  There are so many other fashion blogs (which by the way I love!) which are perfect for women with bigger budgets.  I want to create big city looks for a small town price. 

3) Since I mentioned fabulous....I don't mean small-town fabulous, I mean big-town Fabulous. Add a pinch of Grace Kelly, a dash of Kourtney Kardashian, a whole lot of Kate Middleton and Rachel Bilson.  Mix vigorously until boring is dissolved.  View and enjoy.
