Tea Party

Spring/Summer is the perfect time of year to have a little tea party with friends.  The blossoms are out and ready.  You could center the party around a flower theme and wear a lovely little number as seen above.

I love the girly and feminine look and can't wait to embrace it more this spring!

What I've been up to...

I've accomplished a lot since February when I last posted consistently.  I successfully painted my nails without getting any on my skin and even found a Vera Wang purse at a thrift store for $13 (I couldn't pass it up even though I was completely broke)!

Things I Love: Summer 2012

So, I know I've been away from a while... but I'm back.  I've finally found some time to slowly start my blogging again.  It's going to be a crazy summer, but trust me I'm ready for a change of pace.

But enough about me.... let's talk about fashion!

I don't know if you've noticed but color has become sort of a big thing this Spring.  We've seen it absolutely everywhere and taking notice!  Bolder is better.  These H&M wedges have become my current crush and I've been debating on whether or not I should use my online subscriber 35% off coupon on them (I think the answer is defintely yes).

Mango Bango nailpolish from Essie?  Another yes.  I saw this color at the store and bought it as a reward for myself.  I am absolutely in love with it.  Also, Essie is like the only brand of nailpolish I buy anymore.  It's so wonderful.

As I continue celebrating Summer with my family, I will make a vow to continue posting.  Mostly to help me maintain my own sanity.  Until next time....

I'm sorry for not posting recently, but the plague is going around campus.  All of my photographers (aka my friends) have come down with what can most easily be described as bird flu.  The crow infestation is apparently having a severe effect on the health of the students.  I inevitably will probably end up catching whatever they have.  In the mean time, I will be quarantining myself from all activity with said diseased individuals.  This results in me taking a short break from posting until all good health has been restored.  I can assure you though that I am still getting dressed in the morning and I still am upholding my standards of looking good every single day.

The Big 1-9

It's my birthday. Enough said.

Today has been a very lazy day, despite my best efforts to dress as adorably as possible.  I only had time for a quick photoshoot today and only one picture turned out okay.  Trust me, this outfit was much cuter in person.

As I am typing this I am realizing that I miss my parents more and more.  College life is very difficult, especially on your emotions.  I can't wait until they come on Friday.

If my posting is a little slow this week it is most likely as a result of my 2 exams and birthday celebrations.  I hope you're understanding.

It's official.... I'm a nerd.  Last night I was up until 3 in the morning, studying.  I stayed in the library so long that they eventually kicked me out.  I finished a 6 page paper due on Monday in about an hour thanks to my grande Mocha.  Yeah, I pretty much the stereotypical college student.  Oddly enough, even though I was studying for most of the night, I had a pretty fun Witt Wednesday.  It probably could be more defined as a silly Witt Wednesday.

In regards to my lovely outfit today, I decided I'm a cute nerd.  I'm also not a very common sensical nerd because it is rather chilly outside today.  I guess it's my flaws that make me so darn cute.



Have you heard that it's only 8 days until my birthday?  You haven't?  Well now you have.

I woke up this morning and it was snowing!  Quite a surprise.  Therefore, leaving my electric blanket was even more difficult than it usually is.

Not much else to report on this wonderful Witt Wednesday.  Sorry for being boring. 

I've recently been getting a couple of comments on my posts and that certainly makes my day!  I LOVE (and yes in this case, I am screaming with the uppercase) hearing from all those reading my blog.  I hope to keep hearing from all of you in the future.  Thank you!

Today is certainly a lazy day.  I succombed to the college-girl fashion trap of leggings.  Normally I would try to resist such an urge to throw on a pair of leggings, but today I failed.  Miserably.

I'm also noticing looking at these pictures that 1) I probably should stop napping and start working out more, and 2) I need to lay off the cafeteria food.  But how can I be expected to do that when I can barely put on a reasonable pair of pants?

Valentine's Day

Once again, a beautiful day.  My only complaints about a beautiful day, its harder to take pictures during my normal picture-taking time.  I'll take it though.

I know it's not Valentine's Day, but this outfit was screaming out to me in my closet and who am I to deny an outfit from being worn.  I've recently been obsessed with the red-pink combination, partly because it's the season and partly because it's very "in" right now.

This week is going to be another crazy one.  I am hoping that my shoulder, which I injured a few days ago at a master class, will heal quickly so I don't add more obstacles to my list.

So what if it's a Saturday?  I wanted to wear heels.  Earlier today I had a master class with a modern dance company in Cincinnati and it was rough.  I wanted to reward myself for such an intense day, so I pampered myself by dressing cute and doing my hair all fancy-like.

The weather is starting to turn sour.  I guess all good things have to come to an end.

Yeah, I know I own it.  The hipster glasses made me feel like a nerd and definitely helped me ace my Calculus exam.  Dress well, test well.  Nothing puts me in a better mood than knowing that I am on my game academically, socially, and every other kind of "ally" out there. 

I will admit while looking at these pictures that my plaid shirt is a little too baggy for my AE sweater, but I don't really care (see first paragraph for explanation).  In addition, yes, I am wearing pleather leggings.


T-minus 14 days until my birthday.  Get ready.

Happy Groundhog's Day to all!  It's once again a beautiful day.  If this is winter, I would be happy to have plenty more of it  (keep it coming Phil). 

So, I found this skirt in my closet safety-pinned to a shirt as a makeshift dress.  I figured I would demote it back to a skirt because I sold some of my cute skirts yesterday (did I mention I made $37?) 

There is so much going on in my life right now and I am so happy for most of it, excluding homework, test, quizzes, etc.  I would love to get to know my readers better and hear what you have to say, so if you are so inclined, feel free to comment on this post or any post.  If you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer any of them.  I really just want to share my joy  (I'm on the cheesy train, I know).

Good day, big smile.  Not only did I have to opportunity to wear heels today because of the amazing 55 degree weather today, but I also made $37 selling some old clothes!  I must be butter 'cause I'm on a roll.

I am so happy with everything that's happening right now and I can't wait to see how it continues.  My birthday is officially in 16 days, so from now on there will be an attempt made by me to countdown until the "best day of the year". 

If anyone wants to know what to get me, this is what I'll tell 'em:  "I want to see my wonderful family and have an amazing day with them."  Cheesy, but very true.
